SETTING UP A NEW BRANCH

Nearly three years ago Ballingarry Fine Gael Br. members took a decision to Sponsor the ‘Collins 22 Society’ as a national movement,

This decision was inspired by the dedication of the Beal na Blath commemoration committee led by Frank Metcalfe, AND their friends throughout Cork,.....we, like them, felt it is possible that the sacrifice of Michael Collins might be discarded to the dustbin of history.

Because of the global interest in Michael Collins,we aim to establish branches not only in Ireland but throughout the world. In 2006, the Birmingham Branch established in the UK, became the first branch to be established outside of Ireland. In December 2008, the London Branch was established followed by the Coventy Branch in May 2009.

The purpose of a Branch

To gather at least once a year for a celebration of the legacy left to us by Michael Collins.

To share ideas, have Lectures, Films, debates etc.

To nominate from each Branch of the Society two people to a National Organisation

Interested in Establishing a Branch
